At Morpix, we prioritize your privacy above all else. We are committed to ensuring that your data remains yours. This policy outlines our strict "Local-Only" approach to data handling for both our Browser Extension and Web App.

1. Local-Only Processing (No Cloud Storage)

Morpix operates on a 100% local processing model. This means:

  • No Visual Content Uploads: Your screenshots, screen recordings, edited images, email edits, and generated QR codes are strictly processed within your browser's local memory on your device.
  • No Server Storage: We do not upload, store, or have access to any of your visual content on our servers. This applies to all users, including Pro plan subscribers.
  • Your Data Stays With You: Since no content leaves your device, you retain full ownership and control over your files at all times.

Chrome Extension Permissions

Our browser extension requires specific permissions solely to perform local actions:

  • activeTab: Required only to capture the visible area of your current tab when you explicitly click the extension to take a screenshot.
  • storage: Required to save your preferences (e.g., your last used background color or padding setting) locally in your browser so you don't have to reset them every time.

2. Personal Information & License Management

We strictly limit the personal information we collect, which is used solely for account and license management purposes through our trusted partner.

LemonSqueezy (Merchant of Record)

We use LemonSqueezy as our authorized reseller and merchant of record for Pro plan subscriptions. Here is how your data is handled:

  • Payment Information: All payments are processed directly by LemonSqueezy. Morpix does not have access to, collect, or store your credit card details or banking information.
  • License Activation: When you purchase a license, LemonSqueezy shares your Name and Email Address with us. We use this information solely to:
    • Generate and validate your unique License Key.
    • Send you transactional emails (receipts, license keys).
    • Verify your Pro status within the extension.

3. Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to improve the performance of our website. Important: These tools are active ONLY on our public-facing marketing pages (such as Home, About, Gallery, Privacy, Terms, and Cookie Policy).

  • No Tracking in App/Editor: We do NOT run analytics scripts inside the actual Morpix Editor or Browser Extension where you process your visuals.
  • Aggregated Data Only: We track anonymous metrics like page views and button clicks to understand traffic sources. We never track your visual content or your browsing history outside of our domain.

4. Data Retention

Because we do not store any of your visual content (images, videos, QR codes) on our servers, there is no user content data for us to retain. Your creations exist only on your local device until you decide to delete them.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
